Join Choral Union, University Singers, and the Columbia Civic Orchestra performing a variety of choral/orchestral favorites, from the opera choruses of Beethoven and Verdi to TREEMONISHA by Scott Joplin! Included on the program will be the rarely heard CHARIOT JUBILEE by R. Nathaniel Dett, a work based entirely on African-American spirituals. Missouri can proudly claim Dett, who received his education from Oberlin College, Harvard University, and Eastman School of Music, as one of our own due to his time as a faculty member at Lincoln University in Jefferson City.
