Show-Me Opera presents Le nozze di Figaro (The Marriage of Figaro) by W. A. Mozart
Sung in Italian with projected surtitles

In Mozart’s comedic masterpiece the servant gets the better of his master, and so the work was considered highly revolutionary when it premiered in the late 18th century. Figaro is manservant to Count Almaviva. The Count’s ‘roving eye’ has turned to Susanna, Figaro’s betrothed. Figaro and Susanna join forces with the Countess to concoct a plot that will expose the Count’s philandering and guarantee the newly married couple a chance to live together in happiness.
